Litanies/practices that attract sustenance and repel poverty:
1. To recite in abundance: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh. (al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ)
2. To make Istighfār. (Abū Dāwūd)
3. To recite Sūrat al-Wāqiʿah every night. (Shuʿab al-Īmān)
4. To recite Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ upon entering one’s home. (al-Muʿjam al-Kabīr)
5. To send salutations upon our beloved master, Muḥammad (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wasallam), in abundance. (al-Tirmidhī)
6. To make duʿāʾ – supplicate to Allāh. (Musnad Abī Yaʿlā)
7. To adopt taqwā [Allāh-consciousness]. (Sūrah al-Ṭalāq: 2)
8. To maintain good ties with relatives. (Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī)
9. To wash one’s hands before and after eating. (Ibn Mājah)
10. To perform Ṣalāt al-Ḥājah. (Muṣannaf ʿAbd al-Razzāq)
11. To refrain from sins. (Nasaʾī)
12. To recite the following 100 times daily (Musnad al-Firdaws):
لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ الْمَلِكُ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ
13. To recite the following prophetic supplication (al-Muʿjam al-Awsaṭ):
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ أَوْسَعَ رِزْقِكَ عَلَيَّ عِنْدَ كِبَرِ سِنِّي وَانْقِطَاعِ عُمُرِي
14. To recite the following prophetic supplication (Musnad Aḥmad):
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ رِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلا مُتَقَبَّلا، وَعِلْمًا نَافِعًا
15. To recite the following duʿāʾ taught by Nūḥ (ʿalayhi ʾl-salām) to his son (Musnad Aḥmad):
لا إِلَهَ إِلا اللَّهُ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ
Note: The above should be practised with full conviction and trust in Allah Taʿālā. However, if one is negligent in their mandatory duties, such as Ṣalāh, Zakāh and fasting, or indulges in major or minor sins, then along with practising the above they should correct this. There are many other supplications that can be made but due to brevity, we have sufficed with those mentioned above.
